From 17–18 June 2015, the Formel D Group will be at the Industry Forum in Wolfsburg which this year is taking place under the motto “”Future of the Automotive Industry: Connected Car and Global Networks””. Over the 2-day conference, experts, senior executives and managers will discuss the automotive and supplier industries including the main topics of “”Partner country Mexico: Global location for the automotive industry”” and “”IT potential for success through open innovation””.

Participants will use presentations and workshops to examine opportunities and challenges for the branch including, for example, in the area of logistics management. In this context, Dr. Jürgen Laakmann, Managing Director at Formel D, will be present as an expert on innovations management in logistics.

The Formel D Group will also have its own stand at the accompanying trade exhibition to inform visitors about its range of quality, production and after-sales services for the automotive value chain. The company will also to exhibit its own in-house developed tools as well as complete systems for global and smooth integration into existing customer processes. For production departments, market leading concepts will be demonstrated that guarantee improved quality standards and adherence to quality requirements and thereby ensure problem-free production processes.

To achieve a zero-defect strategy, Formel D developed its Supplier Competence Program, a modular system with proactive and reactive elements for sustainable supplier qualification during the various phases in start-up and series production projects. The Supplier Competence Program is already effective at the supplier selection stage. It then applies maturity-level validation to aid the start-up of parts production. Support for the value chain is rounded off with serial production security including instant reactive measures such as guaranteeing 100% OK-parts for customer production lines and measures which impact field quality and warranty costs.
