Formel D provided continued support to “Star Care” initiative in 2017

In 2017, Formel D sponsored the “Star Care e.V.” initiative, supporting socially disadvantaged and sick children as well as youth in Stuttgart and the region, as in previous years.

The projects assisted included the youth film workshop “Ganz großes Kino” (the big screen), which is regularly offered to youth from difficult social backgrounds during summer break. Educators and film experts create a professional short film, from the script through to the final cut. The story is developed with the participants, who experience life on a film set for the entire week, getting to know different areas such as acting, camera work, set creation, and post production.

We also sponsored the “Clowns on Duty” project, geared to children with long stays in the hospital. Often, the children feel alone because their relatives are unable to spend all their time at the hospital due to work or long journeys. Clowns visit to help cheer up the little patients, make the children laugh and relax, and to foster their recovery. The clown events take place spread over the entire year.

Star Care is a public charity dedicated to social projects for children since 1999, helping ensure better a better future. Formel D has supported Star Care for many years.
