Success at the IAA 2015

On the back of its complete brand relaunch, Formel D appeared at this leading automotive show with its revamped service portfolio and convinced at visual level too with a new corporate design.

From 17 to 27 September 2015, Formel D exhibited once again at the 66th IAA Cars in Frankfurt am Main. The slogan this year for the world’s leading fair was “Mobility connects”. Over 900,000 visitors found out about current industry trends, the latest products and services and a host of world premieres.

Following an extensive brand relaunch, Formel D debuted its restructured service portfolio at the company’s press conference on 16 September 2015 on the exhibition stand in Frankfurt am Main. Claus Niedworok, Formel D CEO, reported on the new corporate strategic alignment and brand positioning. An extra highlight of the press conference was the keynote speech by internationally renowned artist HA Schult, who talked about his latest project, ActionBlue (www.action-blue.de). Referring to impressive images, he described his experiences on the 12,000 km journey in a hybrid vehicle from Western Europe to Central Asia to generate awareness for the global challenges presented by the sustainable use of water and air as natural resources. Formel D supported the project as a technical implementation partner.

Covering the topics of product development, production and aftersales, Formel D experts welcomed media representatives and numerous trade visitors to the exhibition stand, referring to the new image film to showcase leading concepts and individual, scalable solutions for quality assurance and process optimization along the entire automotive value chain. Under the direction of Marcel Klehr, Director Sales, the German sales team held as part of the exhibition a supplier symposium, which was received as the ideal platform for a lively exchange of information and opinions between experts among the customers. There were also many positive discussions with prospective candidates, who were welcomed to the stand and informed about carrier opportunities at Formel D by the recruiting team.

And Formel D once again supported the “GoIng” initiative of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) at the IAA for actively promoting young talent in technical disciplines. During the exhibition, aspiring engineers gained practical insights into the engineering profession through workshops, presentations and stand tours. This was a way to inspire, at an early stage, young academics to study engineering and subsequently enter the profession.
